Puzzles of the Week
So many adults who came to love mathematics began that love with a puzzle. The puzzle would have been easy to understand, but tricky to solve. They stuck with it, and eventually, solved it. What a feeling!
This collection of puzzles aim to give students that kind of glorious experience. They’re designed to go up on a bulletin board in a classroom or school hallway, pique the attention of students, and be solvable but not right away.
There are 39 pages of these puzzles in this downloadable PDF, a collaboration between us here at Math for Love and the wonderful folks at Early Family Math. You can find these puzzles and more at earlyfamilymath.org.
