Dan Finkel – Founder and Director of Operations.

A teacher of teachers and students, Dan has run workshops and given talks on mathematics and education throughout the Pacific Northwest. He has a PhD in algebraic geometry, and performs comedy improvisation in Seattle. A regular contributor to the New York Times Numberplay blog. You can listen to an interview Dan gave on KUOW here.

Katherine Cook – Creative Director.

Katherine is the brain behind some of our greatest innovations, including our new, free curriculum page. With a Masters in probabilistic combinatorics, Katherine has taught teachers and students of all ages, including pioneering an innovative course for parents and Kindergarteners at the University of Washington’s Robinson Center. Paul Gafni – Math Instructor

It’s hard to say whether Paul Gafni loves learning or teaching more. Since 2013, he has led Math Circles and Classes for Math for Love throughout Seattle, putting his students in touch with what’s most compelling and creative about mathematics. With a Bachelors in the mathematics of games, Paul brings dedication, depth and playfulness to his work.
